Clinical Pilates strengthens the pelvic floor, abdominal and surrounding muscles that are often weakened during pregnancy and child birth.

At Higher Function we offer;

  • Classes run by highly experienced Physiotherapists
  • Small classes (up to 6 people in a class)
  • Specifically designed for new mothers
  • Reconditioning of your pelvic floor and core abdominal muscles
  • Exercises to get fit and strong to cope with the demands of motherhood and baby care.

Feel free to bring a rug /mat for baby and some toys. You can include baby in some exercises. The class is good stimulation for baby and a chance for them to practise tummy time and rolling skills!

 

Classes are designed for Mums from 6 weeks postpartum ( after your 6 week check up) and up until your baby starts crawling.

A Pre-Class Physiotherapy Assessment is required before commencing class . This allows the Physiotherapist to gain knowledge about your pregnancy and birth and help target your areas of concern and help you reach your post baby goals!

* Pre-Class Assessment and Classes are claimable on your Private Health Fund.

 

Bring your mothers’ group and then go for coffee afterwards!
