Teen Core Stability

Higher Function now offers a class specifically for teenagers!

Our Teen Pilates Classes are a great alternative and also addition to high intensity or high impact sport ! The classes are fun, challenging, informative and engaging and are suitable for teenagers of all abilities.  Our classes use a range of Pilates equipment including the foam roller, Balance disc, Theraband, Pilates ring, weight balls and sometimes the Reformer Pilates Machine !


Our Teen Pilates Classes are designed to:

  • Prevent injury
  • Improve sporting performance
  • Improve balance and flexibility
  • Reduce pain caused by hours of slouching over the laptop / school desks
  • Improve your overall health and well-being through fun exercises
  • Provide an alternative to high intensity sport with gentle yet still challenging exercises!


Classes are held on Thursdays at 4:15 pm– 5:15 pm during the school term.

Teens are required to come for a Pre-Pilates Class Assessment with the Physiotherapist. This allows the Physiotherapist to assess their current ability and take note of any injuries or goals specific to the Teen.
