Janet founded Higher Function Physio & Pilates in 2013 and brings over 34 years’ experience in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports injuries across private, public and Australian Army healthcare. She has applied her craft in Toowoomba, Tamworth, Sydney and Canberra.
She earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) degree from the University of Sydney in 1987 and a Postgraduate Diploma of Applied Science (Manipulative Physiotherapy) from the University of Sydney in 1990. She is an Accredited Pilates Clinician (DMA & PIQ) and Dry Needling Practitioner.

Janet is committed to evidence-based best practices. She is passionate about the importance of education and self-management to maintain long-term results and improve the quality of life of her patients.
Janet is skilled in treating both acute and chronic conditions and helping patients prepare for and recover from surgical procedures. She has brought relief to many patients with long-term and chronic conditions, reducing their pain and improving their quality of life and body function.
A keen skier and mountain biker, she is no stranger to the great outdoors and has great experience treating sports injuries and injuries from everyday life. Janet runs our Snow Fit programs twice per year.
Alyce earned a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra in 2013. Alyce was an elite basketball player and thanks to her experience at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and Troy University in the United States, where she was awarded a basketball scholarship, Alyce has a keen interest in sporting injuries, rehabilitation and postural pain.

Dominique earned a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Canberra in 2019. She has a strong background in classical ballet and contemporary dance and is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
Dominique is an accredited Pilates Clinician and has completed her STOTT Pilates Level 1 and Level 2 certification and an Intensive Matwork Plus certification. Dominique is passionate about improving strength, flexibility and balance to support sporting and physical activities. She is also passionate about the prevention, management and rehabilitation of dance and gymnastics injuries.
Dominique enjoys cycling, dance and getaways to visit friends and family and adores her dog, Zalo.

Andrea earned a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from James Cook University in 2015.
Andrea is an accredited Pilates Clinician and has broad experience in the management of musculoskeletal injuries, Pilates hydrotherapy and paediatrics, practising in Townsville, Brisbane and Canberra.
With a background as a gymnast and an avid hiker, she has an in-depth understanding of human movement. She is passionate about helping people reach their goals to get back to the activities that they enjoy.
Andrea enjoys hiking, travel and spending time with friends and family.

Natasha earned a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) from Curtin University in 2014.
Tash is an Accredited Pilates Clinician and Dry Needling Practitioner. She specialises in prenatal and postnatal conditions and previously worked at the Perth Pregnancy Centre. Natasha is also passionate about Pilates and has taught Clinical Mat and Reformer Pilates.
Tash enjoys dressmaking, Irish dancing and camping in and around Canberra.

Eva earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sports Science) degree from Deakin University in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the University of Melbourne in 2006. While at Deakin University, Eva won the Alfred Deakin Medal for her outstanding academic record and contribution to the community. With 16 years’ clinical experience, Eva’s professional mission is to translate research to practice using a biopsychosocial approach. Eva has been an invited clinical educator at the University of Canberra since 2016, is a member of numerous ESSA professional committees, and was the ESSA ACT Chapter Chair from 2016-2019. Eva specialises in treating malgic encephalomyelitis /chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), peri and post menopause, osteopenia/osteoporosis, and endometriosis. Outside of the clinic, Eva is obsessed with mountain biking and exploring new places.

Sam graduated from the University of Canberra in 2020 with a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology & Rehabilitation. Sam has a great passion for the prevention and management of chronic conditions through exercise therapy, lifestyle and behavioural change, and can help you navigate individual barriers when making these changes. Sam is a strong advocate for the use of the most recent evidence-based interventions to shape his treatment to prioritise client health outcomes.

Dr Victoria Carr
Dr Victoria Carr is an experienced Clinical Psychologist. Victoria began her work in public and private hospital settings and has worked extensively across a wide range of public and private hospital departments including cardiac, respiratory, orthopaedics, falls and balance as well as chronic conditions, both in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr Jonathan Carr is an accredited and experienced Health Psychologist with over 15 years of clinical experience. He completed a Doctor of Health Psychology degree from Deakin University and is a member of the College of Health Psychologists (MCHP) and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). He is also an International Affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA).
Claire Golding provides professional therapy for professional people. As a Clinical Hypnotherapist who’s also a highly experienced Life and Career Coach, she has over 25 years’ experience in the corporate world and has owned and run several small businesses. She offers coaching and therapy services to help her clients overcome issues they might have been struggling with for many years.
Her approach focuses on what’s GREAT about you rather than what’s WRONG with you. Coaching and hypnosis are future oriented, goal directed and focused on solutions rather than on problems. Her approach is highly permissive and co-created and has a proven success rate.
