Osteoporosis reduces the density and quality of bone, greatly increasing the risk of fracture. Many people (especially older people) may not know they have osteoporosis and are at risk of fragility fractures.
Designed specifically for people with osteoporosis and osteopenia (low bone density), this group class focuses on exercises to safely improve bone density, and incorporates strength training, mobility and balance exercises to improve overall mobility and prevent falls. This class uses our gym and studio equipment (weights, balance discs, foam rollers, resistance bands +more) and Pilates Reformers.
