Mums and Bubs

Did you know,  36% of women over 45 suffer incontinence after childbirth, which is preventable!? Look after your pelvic floor now!

Our Clinical Exercise Postnatal Classes taught by Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists use evidence-based exercises designed specifically to strengthen the pelvic floor, abdominal and surrounding muscles that are often weakened during pregnancy and child birth. Classes are designed for Mums from 6 weeks postpartum (6 week clearance from your GP) and up until your baby starts crawling.

An Initial Assessment with a Physiotherapist is required before starting classes.  This allows the Physiotherapist to gain knowledge about your pregnancy and birth, prescribe specific exercises and help you reach your post baby goals!

Our Postnatal Classes are:

  • Run by highly experienced Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists
  • Small classes (up to 6 people in a class)
  • designed specifically for new mothers, increase strength and fitness to cope with the demands of motherhood and baby care
  • Use evidence-based exercises to Recondition your pelvic floor and core abdominal muscle

Feel free to bring a rug /mat for baby and some toys. You can include baby in some exercises (ask about our ‘kiss-ups’ exercise!). The class is great stimulation for baby and a chance for them to practise tummy time and rolling skills!

Wednesday 10:30 am – 11:30 am

Bring your mothers’ group and then go for coffee afterwards!

Initial Assessment and Classes are claimable from most Private Health Insurance Funds.
